Race point changes due to withdrawal of Newark Show Ground and unavailability of Huntingdon race course on August Bank Holiday weekend.

2024 WDA Race Program

Received the following message from a former fancier who currently carrying out a contract for the site owners.

It seems yet again people are making a mess at this location when training.
Wherever you train from please leave it tidy and take your rubbish away with you.

anyone training, they have just spent two days clearing up rubbish and are targeting pigeon training with Motorway Patrol and others watching.
If it continues, pigeon training will be stopped from there.

Benzing have issued another update for their M2 & M3 clocks.

Recommendations from tonight's WDA finance meeting,

1) WDA fees to be £30 per loft

2) Basket charge £20 a basket for Fed races to to Huntingdon

3) Nationals basket Friday for Saturday £1.35 a pigeon 25 birds per basket

4) Nationals basket Thursday for Saturday £1.50 a pigeon- 20 birds per basket.

Amal lost money on all races in 2023 apart from the first 5 old bird races.
We have lost 53 members from 2023 to 2024.

Loss per race varied between £16 to £1,518 a race.

Both the BENZING and Unikon updates for 2024 are now available to download from the manufacturers websites.

These updates must be installed on members clocks before they are used in the 2024 season.

Please see the following statement from Ian Stafford.

The Amalgamation now requires a Transport Manager and President.

Without officials racing cannot take place, there have been no applications for the Transport Managers post and the transporters need to be at the fitters from 20th of March onwards to get them ready for the first race.
