FALAIS NAT

This is the best idea imo but looks like they have made there minds up. There is only 5 points between the top three in our club.

Surely the only sensible decision is to push back the programme one week. Then we don't lose any important channel races.

I agree with Annfield Plain we should work out an alternative so that we can complete the full programme especially since many members are only interested in channel races

The only way forward fom the present fiasco (and thats exactly what it is) is to agree the race programme at the AGM and then stick to it -including day/basketting times-- we then need the convoyor to have only one agenda - the best interests of the birds .
If the weather is unsuitable for a liberation it's a holdover --if after the agreed time its still unsuitable -bring them home . This would take the onus off the WDA officials -- if members didn't like the weather forecast -don't send

I don't get what the problem is here. Push the races back a week so the final YB race is on Sept 29th instead of 22nd. Then we get in all the Nationals and everybody is happy!! We don't anything agreed at an AGM!!

This proposal has been put forward without full consultation of ap fed members just as the initial proposal to change arras to falaise nat was done without any consultation of wda members.

An emergency meeting should be called during the week to discuss proposals put forward by feds and voted on whether this is to fully cancel the race (against wda rules as all races to be flown i believe) or add it back in somehow. My personal opinion is we should stick with the rest of the ob programme as is so people know where they are at now and fly a midweek channel race after the first yb race - not necessarily falaise, perhaps another arras or amiens.

This would allow fanciers time to plan what they are doing or continue as they had planned and time for a thought out proposal to be considered.

We shouldn't be putting the yb racing back already because you don't know whats going to happen weatherwise with them.

Take it you don't work m8. like i said yesterday nothing will be done they are making a point of not doing nowt cos then there will be no time to change anything.they haven't even got the decency to reply to any of these comments. That just says it all to me!!. There should be a plan put in place at the agm so if this happens again we all no whats happening.Saying that there is a rule saying all nationals must be flown and that rule has been broke so why not just chuck the rule book away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we have a Special Meeting this week then, coz YOU cant just cancel an Amalgamation race and replace it with the Nat 1???? Wot about people who only fly the Arras race, members need to vote on wot they want, not wot officials want

How come you can move from Arras to Falais if you need to book the site in advance. Just a thought but don't you think the members should decide which race point we have for the last race. The program has Arras as the last race so if we cannot put the season back a week then perhaps we should stick to the original program and go to Arras.

Brian this is what i can't understand why didn't You put it to the feds then that takes all the pressure off you and Tommy it should go back to members you can't tell me you couldn't off made ten phone calls. Then the fed secs could of phone clubs and the club sec could get in touch with members. You would of had good feed back and i do understand u not everyone would be contactable But you would of had a bloody good idea of what members wanted, but know two people decied to make the decision with in half an hour of it going on libb line you can't tell there was alot of thought and discussion went into this you cant of looked at every avaue dont take this the wrong way you's have a shit job at times and it is very hard to keep every body happy in fact you can't and the way it has come across from a fanciers point of view is we are been dictated to a case of this is what we are doing and you will like it!!!!!!!

Right been watching this post since it started and have also commented on this. think its time to draw a line under it (kiss and make up as it were) there is a couple of thing i would like to say and some one to take note of probs won't but i have had my say.
1 Brian you say he couldn't get fed result in cos he was selling pizzas. Could it be possible the lad was at work that night ??? just a thought and it really sound like you are taking the p@#S out of him.
2 Kris we are all frustrated condition are not ideal maybe step back chill out deep breath then type.
3 Brain the main point i pick up on here which you haven't done is the fact the FED HAS NOT HAD AND AGM!!!!! That's not right But if i am mistaken if 2011 is not closed you shouldn't be racing in 2012 now i know i won't get a reply to this cos no one will want to answer the question. But before anyone starts naming names at meeting you need to look if the people right at the top above wda are squeaky clean !!!!!!!!!!

point taken, I have no problem with Kris he was a young lad doing a job nobody else wanted but he made mistakes and should accept that others do as well, Last Saturday morning I spent nearly 2 hours on my phone discussing the options, The first message on lib-line informed the members that the birds were not going and they should contact their fed secs for further updates, spoke to Rob,in his opinion we would not get a race in the coming week, I knew I had no permit for the channel the next week and might not get one, do I tell the members we dont know where we are going next week ?, then I would have been told the officials should have made a decision, I thought members would rather have the O/B NATIONAL from Falais than Arras, A meeting was never an option, we were running out of time and what could they propose, we had nowhere to go, Members are now complaining about moving Wakefield and the group liberations, I told Tom Riddle on Saturday whatever we do we will get hammered, I REST MY CASE
P.S. NO WAY AM I KISSING KRIS COILS, but I will get him a pint next time we meet
