Ronnie Elliot (Braveheart)

Sadly Ronnie passed away on Monday 18th Dec 2017, Ronnie had suffered for a number of years with Cancer he finally lost the battle with this dreaded disease, Known to the members of Annfield Plain H.S as Braveheart he never had a bad word to say about anyone, he was always there on a Friday night to help with the basketing and take his turn with other club duties, It was Ronnies wish that the pigeons he had left approx 36 be sold for £5 each or a donation made to Cancer Research, Anyone requiring a spare Cock or Hen can contact Andy on 07983612052, Alan Croudace a long time friend of Ronnie's is currently looking after the birds, I will arrange a time with Alan if anyone is interested.
Ronnie had kept pigeons for over sixty years starting in the Dunston Club back in the 50's, he then flew pigeons in Lobley Hill Club, his next club was Birtlley where he was a force to be reckoned with being top flyer on a number of occasions this was when Clubs had 40+ member's and Ronnie won 6 races on the trot in one season, Finally Ronnie has been a member of Annfield Plain Club for the best part of 30yrs, he will be sadly missed by the members of the Club and everyone who knew Ronnie
Ronnie's funeral is on Thursday 4th January at 11 o'clock at the crematorium at Dipton then to the Hobson Hotel at 12
RIP Ronnie
