Thursday 5.00 went to yard picked up Cockfield and West Durham,back to yard sorted baskets from other wagons on to 1 wagon and a trailer , left yard at 8.15 picking up Darlington then collected GYA at Wetherby at 10 ,
Arrived in Arras at 9.00 am Friday birds opened up and watered by 9.45 ,feed and rewatered birds at 4.00 pm
Saturday,up at 4,15 ok on site but heavy showers on the channel and in Kent coming south
6.30am full dark cloud cover on site,forecast saying not to clear until 11 ,Burbure forecast to clear earlier with showers moving south , made the decision to move to Burbure for a mid morning liberation ,forecast for next 4 days was looking poor,left Arras at 7.00 arrived on site at Burbure 8.30 brighter skies with breaks looking north ,but large shower in front moving to east ,showers on channel breaking up to light rain
Shower moved off to east liberated birds at 10.25 clearing well
Forecast good to home end with light rain moving south,had sunny skies on way back to Peterborough,rain coming at home end 2 hours earlier than forecast with birds hitting rain as far south as Doncaster and moving south ,we hit rain at Peterborough with patches of poor visibility in it
