Fri. 7,45 am Rang S Meadows , Richard Wade ( Martin away on holiday ) all agreed to put race off for 24 hours ,rang Alan Brown to inform him decision based on forecast of heavy cloud all day
Sat 7,45 am rang R Wade then rang Alan Brown who had rung S Meadows all agreed to go to Wakefield
6.00 pm arrived at Yard setting off at 6,15 picking up Crook ,Cockfield, and Darlington arriving at Barton for 9,10 pm 5 wagons leaving Barton at 10,40 pm arriving on site at 12,15
Birds opened up and watered by 12,45
