Racepoint - Ackworth 8th April 2023

All wagons arrived on site 12:15 am

All birds watered up by 1oclock had 20 baskets down 2 aisles of the wagons which wasn't very pleased about, had to move them outside whilst others were getting watered then they had to be put back inside with troughs on!

Next morning 7 o'clock waters were splashed to encourage them to drink.
Weather was poor but forecast was for weather to keep improving as the day goes on decided to put birds back till 10 as was waiting for the other libs around to clear, birds were then liberated 10 o'clock in light South East wind, sunshine blue skies, broken cloud. Forecast was the same for home end and on line of flight Wetherby, Ripon, Catterick and the home end!!

Can all baskets be checked before loading on to wagon as had 1 without no strings on, if it happens again the club/clubs could be void from the race.
