Fri 8.00 Alan spoke to all on emergency committee vote was 5 to 0 look to go Saturday to Eastbourne to race Sunday ,weather committee would vote Saturday morning regarding weather for Sunday
Sat 7.45 rang Martin Wade ,Alan rang Stephen vote was 3 to 0 to go
Sat 1.30 was collected by wagon at Cockfield pick up ,then picked up West Durham and returned to yard
Set off with 2 wagons and 1 trailer at 3.30 arriving on site by midnight ,birds watered partly opened wagons due to strong wind
Sun 5.30 ,blue skies visibility about 20 miles ,patches of thick cloud and mist on route
7.30 mist and thick cloud becoming patchy from London to Grantham ,with full cloud cover at home end
8.30 birds liberated in north north east wind clearing very well
10,00 Colin Brown ,Durham Combine Convoyer , rang to say he was in Peterborough area still some patches of mist with visibility of 6 to 10 miles
