UPDATE FROM WDA Annual General Meeting held 17/12/2025
At the AGM the management committee voted in favour of moving to a
5-person EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (EMC) in early 2026.
Any WDA member interested in joining the new EMC can put their name forward. Final date for applications is Wednesday the 31st December.
Election to the EMC will be decided by a WDA membership vote.
Members will know we are currently involved in a major initiative to upgrade our vehicle fleet and move away from wicker panniers to plastic crates. This is an exciting time to get involved in the future development of the WDA so if you’re interested in being involved don’t sit on your hands, put in an application for election. WDA Secretary Vacancy
We are currently seeking applications for the position of WDA Secretary. The post is on a flexible part-time basis with some weekend working during the racing pigeon season (April to September). The successful applicant would preferably have some knowledge of the Racing Pigeon Sport. They will work from home, be a self-starter with sound IT skills and have good communication skills. Reporting to the WDA president they will provide general secretariat support, prepare papers for meetings, take minutes etc. Some occasional evening work may be required. Salary is negotiable.
